In Polish cities and towns, trumpet calls are played daily, usually at midday, or hourly from a high tower, typically of a town hall or an old church. Most of these calls have been created in imitation of the most famous one in Krakow.
Some of these calls are based on other songs, compare, for example, the trumpet call of Łódź with Prząśniczka
or that of Warsaw with Warszawianka (1831 roku)
